Large Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Hexagonal Baluster Vase - A large hexagonal baluster-form vase made of porcelain with hand-painted underglaze blue decoration. The body features six main vertical panels with alternating motifs depicting cranes in landscape settings and floral studies of chrysanthemums and peonies. The flared neck contains smaller corresponding floral panels. Decorative borders include a ruyi-head band at the shoulder, stylized wave patterns around the waist, and scrolling foliate and geometric motifs at the rim and foot. The base is marked with a square underglaze blue seal mark reading Zhongguo Zhizao (中國製造), translated as Made in China. This mark indicates 20th-century production, consistent with the style and technique. Height: 22.5 inches. In-house shipping is available. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
