Two Antique Ceramic Lidded Vessels including Johnson Brothers and Haviland Limoges - This lot features a Johnson Brothers Petunia pattern semi-porcelain bowl and a Haviland Limoges porcelain floral jar. The Johnson Brothers bowl is a lobed, twin-handled vessel with a scalloped rim and matching bridge-handled lid. It is decorated with brown transfer-printed botanical motifs of carnations and fuchsias on a white ground. The base bears a brown printed backstamp reading PETUNIA SEMI-PORCELAIN above a crown and globe graphic followed by JOHNSON-BROS ENGLAND. The Haviland Limoges jar, decorated in the Schleiger 464 pattern, is a bulbous porcelain vessel with twin scrolled handles and a domed lid with a scrolled finial. The jar is decorated with hand-painted overglaze polychrome floral sprigs in shades of pink, orange, and blue, with hand-applied gold lining on the rims and handles. The base contains a faint impressed mark of a capital letter G. Johnson Brothers bowl: approximately 6.25 inches wide across handles. Haviland Limoges jar: approximately 6.5 inches wide across handles. In-house shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, Aug. 28, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
