Three Antique Pressed Glass Syrup Pitchers with Metal Lids - This lot consists of three clear pressed glass syrup or molasses pitchers dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Each vessel is constructed using a mold-pressed technique and features a hinged metal flip-top lid with a thumb lever. The first pitcher features a tapered octagonal body with vertical panels and a flat-topped metal lid. The second pitcher has a bulbous pear-shaped form with vertical panels above an embossed decorative border featuring a beaded swag and ring motif. The third and tallest pitcher has a slender fluted body with a slightly flared base and a tiered, domed metal lid. All three pitchers have smooth, molded bases without pontil marks. Height of tallest pitcher: 6 1/4 inches Height of middle pitcher: 5 1/2 inches Height of shortest pitcher: 5 inches. In-house shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, Aug. 28, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
