A Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Hexagonal Vases - A pair of elongated hexagonal porcelain vases featuring underglaze blue decoration against a bright white ground. The central body of each vase is hand-painted with scenes including birds perched on flowering prunus and peony branches, set within stylized mountain landscapes. Each end is finished with a wide decorative border consisting of dense floral and leaf scrollwork. The vases are open at one end with a finished rim and closed at the base. The base of each piece consists of an unglazed hexagonal foot rim surrounding a recessed, glazed white center. No characters, symbols, or maker marks are visible. Length: 11.5 inches. In-house shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, Aug. 28, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
