Cast Iron Cherub and Urn Architectural Gate Crown Pediment - This cast iron architectural pediment, identified as a Cast Cherub Gate Crown, features a symmetrical Neoclassical composition. The central element is a classical pedestal urn positioned above a semicircular arch containing a stylized sunburst or fan motif. Flanking the urn are two winged cherubs, or putti, reclining upon scrolling acanthus leaf branches. The piece terminates in elongated volute scrolls. Constructed of heavy cast iron, it is finished in a pale seafoam green paint. The design is characteristic of late 19th to 20th-century architectural salvage, typically utilized as a gate topper or decorative overdoor wall crown. 33 inches Width x 10 inches Height.
