Frederick Cooper Chicago Stylized Brass Bird Sculpture on Wood Base - A large modernist bird sculpture by Frederick Cooper of Chicago. The piece features a stylized avian form, likely representing a peacock or pheasant, cast in solid brass with a polished finish. The bird is characterized by a long, arching tail and deep vertical grooves along its body and neck to represent plumage. It is mounted to a dark-stained, tiered wooden base via a stepped brass plate. The underside of the base retains the original gold foil manufacturer label which reads Frederick Cooper CHICAGO in cursive and block lettering. The base is finished with a black felt protector. Height: 18 inches. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
