Italian Neoclassical Carved Alabaster and Slag Glass Figural Table Lamp - This large-scale table lamp features a central sculptural base intricately carved from translucent white alabaster. The sculpture depicts a man and woman in 18th-century courtly attire standing beside an architectural column. The figures are posed in a romantic embrace, with the column featuring gilded foliate scrollwork accents. The entire sculptural group is mounted to a tiered base consisting of a textured alabaster block and a polished, variegated brown onyx plinth. The upper section comprises a carved alabaster gallery bowl with a radiating acanthus or palm leaf pattern highlighted by brown pigment. Resting within the gallery is a cylindrical leaded shade composed of vertical panels of marbled white and light blue slag glass set in a metal frame. The lamp is equipped with a single standard socket and a brass-tone harp. Height: 37 inches.
