Large Italian Carved Alabaster Figural Torchiere Floor Lamp - A large scale hand carved alabaster floor lamp of Italian origin featuring a pastoral scene. The lamp depicts a shepherd and shepherdess in traditional folk costume standing before a tree form central column surrounded by a flock of sheep. The sculpture is mounted on a tiered base crafted from a slab of banded onyx or variegated alabaster. The lighting fixture is topped with a pierced carved green stone finial. The lamp is designed for multi directional illumination with a bowl shaped alabaster shade at the top for upward light and a brass cluster below containing two additional sockets. The electrical system includes a two prong plug and brass components with one socket switch marked GECO. 42 inches tall, 12 inches wide base. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions! No sales tax collected on this auction.
