French Empire Style Gilt-Metal and Beaded Crystal Basket Chandelier - The story goes that this came from an old theater in Mansfield, OH. It is a very heavy, very nice piece. A tiered crystal and gilt-metal chandelier designed in the French Empire style. The upper section features a gilt-metal crown decorated with faceted crystal prisms. The central ring supports six scrolling arms, each terminating in a glass bobeche with a plastic candle-style sleeve and a flame-tip bulb. Numerous faceted crystal icicle and pendeloque drops are suspended from the arms and upper tiers. The lower portion of the fixture is formed by a basket composed of multiple strands of small faceted crystal beads that taper to a decorative crystal finial. The frame is constructed of gilt-finished metal. The fixture is wired for ceiling installation. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions! No sales tax collected on this auction.
