New Haven Clock Company Harmoniste Tambour Mantel Clock - A vintage American mantel clock manufactured by the New Haven Clock Company. This tambour-style clock features a distinctive octagonal central section and is constructed from dark-stained wood with a lacquered finish. The silver-toned metal dial is accented with applied gold-toned Arabic numerals and ornate openwork hands. It includes two winding arbors located between the 4 and 5, and 7 and 8 o’clock positions, with a regulation arbor positioned above the 12 o'clock numeral. The dial is marked NEW HAVEN at the center and THE NEW HAVEN CLOCK CO. U.S.A. along the bottom edge. The clock is powered by a mechanical eight-day Harmony Duo-Strike movement designed to strike on the hours and half-hours using internal rods. An original paper instruction label for the F 645 movement is affixed to the interior of the rear door, and a model label identifying the piece as the Harmoniste is located on the underside of the case. The pendulum is present but currently detached. Width: 18 inches Height: 9 inches.
