Three Flemish Art Company Pyrography Wood Panels - A trio of oval wood panels decorated with pyrography, a technique also known as pokerwork. The collection includes one polychrome painted panel depicting a man in formal evening dress kissing the hand of a woman with red hair, bordered by green leaves. This panel is incised with the text Copyright 1904 by at the bottom center. A second panel displays a profile portrait of a woman in medieval-style dress surrounded by a border of oak leaves and acorns. The third panel features a sporting scene of three fish hanging from a line with scattered shells and aquatic plants. The designs reflect the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts styles of the early 20th century. Each panel includes hanging hardware consisting of screw eyes and wire on the reverse. 17.5 x 12.5 inches each. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $10 fee to bring this lot back to our warehouse in Lancaster, OH for shipping or alternative pickup. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
