A Group of Moth and Butterfly Specimens in a Riker Mount - This entomological collection includes four lepidoptera specimens displayed within a standard Riker mount. The group consists of two large moths in the Saturniidae family, one sphinx moth, and one butterfly. The specimen at the top left is an Ailanthus silkmoth (Samia cynthia), recognized by the white crescent-shaped markings on its wings. To the top right is a White-lined Sphinx moth (Hyles lineata), displaying distinctive longitudinal tan and white stripes. At the bottom left is a Nymphalidae butterfly, likely a Japanese Emperor (Sasakia charonda), showing white spotting and orange hindwing markings. The bottom right specimen is a Polyphemus moth (Antheraea polyphemus), identifiable by its large hindwing eyespots. The insects are mounted against a white fiber backing within a black textured paper-covered frame featuring a glass viewing panel. Width: 12 inches Height: 8 inches. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $10 fee to bring this lot back to our warehouse in Lancaster, OH for shipping or alternative pickup. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
