American Empire Crotch Mahogany Six-Drawer Chest of Drawers - We will have this lot moved to the ground level garage for you, but you must move and load it into your vehicle. An American Empire period chest of drawers, also referred to as a bureau, featuring a primary construction of mahogany with highly figured crotch mahogany veneers. The case design includes a deep overhanging top drawer situated in the upper frieze, positioned above two side-by-side smaller drawers and three graduated full-width drawers below. The drawer fronts exhibit book-matched flame mahogany veneers and are fitted with turned mahogany knobs and brass keyhole escutcheons. The carcass is flanked by full-length turned and ringed columns that terminate in large turned bun feet. The drawers are built with secondary white pine or poplar and display hand-cut dovetail joinery at both the front and back. 52 inches high x 47.5 inches wide x 23.5 inches deep. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions! No sales tax collected on this auction.
