American Empire Tiger Maple Two Drawer Side Table - This mid-19th century American Empire style side table features a solid wood top with a square edge overhanging two drawers. The front facade is decorated with highly figured tiger maple veneer. The drawers are constructed with hand-cut dovetails and are fitted with brass ring pulls on stamped circular backplates. The stand is supported by four robust spirally turned rope-twist legs that terminate in turned ring and tapered feet. Handwritten notations in pencil or ink are present on the underside of the top, including the name Jim, a date of 9-22-14, and alphanumeric characters 25325-MCB. The top and sides are constructed from a light-colored hardwood, likely birch. 20.5 inches wide x 17 inches deep x 28 inches high. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions! No sales tax collected on this auction.
