A Trio of American Empire Flame Mahogany Furniture Pieces - We will have this lot moved to the ground level garage for you, but you must move and load it into your vehicle. This group of American Empire furniture includes a four-drawer chest, a set of bedside or library steps, and a disassembled pedestal table, all primarily constructed with flame mahogany veneers and solid mahogany elements. The chest of drawers features a projecting top drawer above three graduated drawers, flanked by heavy acanthus-carved foliate columns and supported by carved paw feet. The chest retains circular brass ring pulls. The bedside steps consist of two tiers with a scrolled side support and a single small drawer with turned wooden knobs; joinery on the drawer shows hand-cut dovetail construction. The pedestal table, currently in several components, features a scalloped piecrust edge top, a heavily carved acanthus and twist-turned pedestal, and a tripod base terminating in brass-capped claw feet. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on any of the items. Chest width: 42 inches. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions! No sales tax collected on this auction.
