Vintage Two Piece Beaded Silk Top and Skirt Evening Set - A two-piece vintage evening ensemble consisting of a short-sleeved pullover top and a matching skirt. Both pieces are constructed with 100 percent silk shells and matching 100 percent silk linings. The fabric features a textured, slightly crinkled finish. The set is heavily embellished with hand-applied beadwork using silver-tone bugle beads, iridescent seed beads, and clear sequins in a 1920s revival style. The top is designed with a deep V-pattern at the neckline composed of concentric beaded rows and scattered sequin clusters. Both the top and skirt feature a decorative scalloped hemline embellished with ornate, fan-shaped beaded motifs and floral-like sequin clusters. The skirt is finished with an elasticized waistband. A white rectangular label is sewn into the interior of the top, reading: R.N. 72923, SHELL 100% SILK, LINING 100% SILK, DRY CLEAN ONLY, and MADE IN INDIA. Size tags identify the top as an XL and the skirt as an XXL. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $10 fee to bring this lot back to our warehouse in Lancaster, OH for shipping or alternative pickup. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
