RARE A Pair of WW1 4th City of Manchester Regiment Shoulder Titles. The ”Manchester Pals” The 4th Manchester Pals was the 19th (Service) Battalion of the Manchester Regiment, formed in late 1914 as part of Lord Kitchener's volunteer army. It was one of several ”City Battalions” raised from local volunteers in Manchester to serve alongside friends, later seeing extensive action on the Western Front.
