Do Xuan Doan: Do Xuan Doan (born 1937) was a Vietnamese lacquer painter and a student of the legendary Nguyen Gia Tri. He graduated from the Lacquer Department of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 1961 and became known for paintings that capture the natural landscapes and people of Hanoi from the 1930s and 1940s. His works, marked by bold color palettes and a relaxed compositional style, are held in art museums both in Vietnam and abroad.
