An antique Bronze 'Five Blessings' (Wufu Linmen) Gourd Group, Bearing a Qianlong Mark. Finely cast as a cluster of auspicious bottle gourds borne on intertwining leafy vines, the larger gourds boldly decorated with the Chinese characters Fu (福, blessing), Lu (祿, prosperity), Shou (壽, longevity), Xi (喜, happiness), and Cai (財, wealth), symbolising the Five Blessings. The front of the naturalistic base is inscribed Wufu Linmen (五福臨門, ”May the Five Blessings Arrive at Your Door”), Qianlong marking on base. Height 19 cm; width 14.5 cm.
