1820s Edgefield SC Pottersville 4 Gallon Jar
Circa 1820s-1830 Edgefield South Carolina, Pottersville four gallon jar with a strong Dave Drake attribution. The jar has a wonderful form and Dave classic handles with tapering shoulder that are indicative of his hands-works. The jar is in outstanding form and a oatmeal colored glaze. This jar was found in middle Georgia plantation smoke house, still very tacky and the first time offered for auction. This is a great example for any level of stoneware collector. Condition, has had two stress line restorations. No chips or other repairs. Stands 14 1/2" Tall
Condition: Condition, has had two stress line restorations. No chips or other repairs.
