Vintage Molcajete bowl designed and manufactured in the 1980's in Taxco, Mexico by Los Castillo.

The bowl has a beautiful shape, with the bird sitting on the edge it resembles a birth bath bowl.

The bowl is made in solid brass then silver plated, the bird detail is covered in Abalone shell and his eyes are made out of mother of pearl.

The piece is fully labeled.

The label reads; Los Castillo, Taxco, Hecho a Mano, Mexico.8.50 inches wide x 7.50 inches deep x 4 inches high to the top of the bird.

Bowl only is 7.50 inches in diameter x 3 1/8 inches high.

Condition: Used condition, nicks, scratches, one of the legs was pushed inwards creating sort of a ripple effect on the inside of the bowl.
