The present lot, featuring a yellow gold case, embodies all the stylistic codes that made the master watchmaker’s creations so distinctive. From the signature double-ellipse case to the dial design, which combines guilloché finishing with satin-brushed surfaces on the sub-dials and hour ring, every detail reflects Roth’s refined aesthetic. Compared to later chronographs produced by the brand, reference 2147 stands out for its use of the Lemania 2320 caliber, a movement also employed at the time by prestigious maisons such as Patek Philippe, Breguet, and Vacheron Constantin. Daniel Roth personally contributed to both the mechanical development and the aesthetic refinement of this exceptional movement.
