Reference 2187, in particular, is the first to feature the defining elements of the model: the tourbillon is positioned at six o’clock, while the upper part of the dial displays the hours and minutes. A particularly interesting feature is found on the back of the watch, where a second dial indicates the power reserve and the date, in a regulator-style layout. During his years at Breguet, where he played a key role in revitalizing the brand, Roth had the opportunity to study the tourbillon in depth through A.-L. Breguet’s original technical drawings. This experience sparked a deep passion for the complication, which would go on to become a cornerstone of his independent watchmaking. As with all of Roth’s most iconic creations, the case is crafted in yellow gold and features the distinctive double-ellipse shape, an unmistakable signature of the brand.
