An important collection of horse and hunting drawings and sketches by Charles Gustave Parquet (1826-1908) - An important collection of horse and hunting drawings and sketches by Charles Gustave Parquet (1826-1908) An album showing over 70 sketches of horses, dogs, hunting scenes and hunting still lifes. Furthermore, the lot contains a collection of six framed watercolour drawings and one under passe-partout. Added an edition of the book 'L'Art Equestre' by Barriol, for which Parquet designed several illustrations. Work by Gustave Parquet is part of the collection of the Musee de la Venerie in Senlis and the Musee National du Chateau de Compiegne. Both museums show his work of the hunting theme and 'venerie'.
