The majority of the plates are from The Spode Blue Room Collection, featuring various patterns including classical Italianate landscapes with architectural ruins, bridges, and figures (identified in research as 'Rome, ' 'Tiber, ' and 'Lucano'), dense botanical and floral patterns, and one plate with a Greek key border surrounding classical mythological scenes. Reverse markings on these pieces indicate ”The Spode Blue Room Collection, Botanical, ” noted as ”First Introduced c. 1820,” and an ”Underglaze print from a hand engraved copper plate.” The two smaller dishes depict ”Coaching Days” scenes, specifically identified as ”Catching the Mail” on the front. Reverse markings on these dishes identify them as ”Ridgway, Est. 1792, Staffordshire England” under the ”Coaching Days” pattern, which are guaranteed ”underglaze 66 and detergent proof.”
