A Modern Chinese Porcelain Punch Bowl in 18th Century Worcester-Style 'Blue Scale' and 'Exotic Birds' Pattern - A modern Chinese porcelain punch bowl, decorated in the style of 18th-century Worcester 'Blue Scale' and 'Exotic Birds' patterns. The bowl features a dark teal ground adorned with intricate gilt scrollwork, floral motifs, and geometric patterns, interspersed with white reserves. These reserves are hand-painted with colorful exotic birds, resembling pheasants, amidst flowering branches and foliage. The rim and foot rim are gilded, and the interior decoration mirrors the exterior. Visible on the underside are two affixed labels: one gold, stating ”Q. C. No. - B-49689”, and a cream-colored paper sticker reading ”MADE IN CHINA” and ”NOT FOR FOOD SERVING MAY POISON FOOD FOR DECORATIVE USE ONLY, ” followed by a handwritten number ”87-9734-w-712.” Four brown felt pads are also attached to the foot rim.
