Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Imperial Jingdezhen
A Pair of Imperial Jingdezhen Porcelain Plates - A pair of Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain plates, each displaying an East Asian-inspired polychrome design. The left plate depicts a pair of waterfowl, resembling mandarin ducks, in a wintry landscape with a blossoming plum or cherry branch. The right plate features two colorful ornamental birds, characteristic of pheasants, amidst flowering plants and a tree. Both plates are mounted within square frames with a gold-toned metallic or painted wooden finish, glass fronts, and light beige fabric matting. A small, indistinct signature or seal mark, appearing as red and black script, is visible at the bottom center of the right plate, its content not clearly discernible for translation. The overall aesthetic suggests a 20th-century style.
