A Gerte Hacker Enamel and Cast Metal Compote Bowl with Glass Frit - A decorative compote bowl by Gerte Hacker, featuring a shallow, undulating, or scalloped rim. The exterior of the bowl is finished in a rich, reddish-brown enamel, likely over a metal base. The interior is entirely covered with irregular pieces of vibrant green glass frit or crushed glass, centrally adorned with a small, stylized metallic flower motif, possibly brass or bronze. The bowl is mounted on a separate, ornate four-footed stand of cast metal, possibly brass or bronze, with a dark patinated finish and rococo-inspired scrolled details. A gold cursive signature ”gerte Hacker” is visible on the underside of the bowl. Faint, handwritten alphanumeric markings, such as ”Z 278,” are visible on the underside of the stand.
