The underside is marked 'DutchCraft', 'DH', and 'EPNS'. The central field features a hammered texture surrounding a smooth, slightly recessed oval well. The wide, raised rim is adorned with a continuous frieze of stylized figures and pictorial motifs reminiscent of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and scenes, characteristic of the Egyptian Revival design period.
