Balinese Mid-Century Style Elongated Carved Wood Female Figure - This hand-carved tropical hardwood sculpture depicts a stylized, elongated female figure in a mid-century modern aesthetic characteristic of Balinese Art Deco. The figure features a sinuous, undulating form with hands held together in a traditional prayer or salutation gesture. The head is rendered with serene, simplified facial features and is topped with a distinct double-pointed headdress. The piece is finished with a warm brown polish that highlights the natural grain. The underside of the base contains several markings including handwritten characters in black ink appearing as ZA and M 175, along with a blurred red circular stamp and adhesive residue from a previous label.
