Vintage Italian Leather-Clad Duck Decanter - This vintage Italian decorative decanter is crafted in the form of a duck, featuring a body entirely clad in smooth reddish-brown leather. The design includes applied wing-shaped patches on the flanks with embossed scrollwork and a neck wrapped in decorative braided leather strips. The head is made of a dark composition material or wood, featuring inset red bead eyes and a tapered bill. The piece is secured to a weighted, dark-colored base. The underside of the base is marked with a gold-stamped MADE IN ITALY. The leather covering is assembled with visible topstitching and a vertical seam running from the chest to the base.
