Masaharu Aoyama, Seagulls Woodblock Print - This woodblock print, titled Seagulls, is by Japanese artist Masaharu Aoyama (1893-1969). The composition features three seagulls in flight above a stylized surface of rippling water. The work is executed in a palette of black, gray, and pale blue-gray. A square red artist seal is present in the lower left corner of the image area. The print is housed behind a wide cream-colored mat in a simple black-painted wooden frame.
