Lucy Qinnuayuak, Feathered Trio, 1963 Stencil Print - A large-scale stencil print by Inuit artist Lucy Qinnuayuak (1915-1982), titled Feathered Trio, dating to 1963. This work, produced at the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), is executed on heavy, textured, fibrous handmade washi paper. The composition depicts three stylized crested birds rendered in a palette of teal and mustard yellow. The lower right portion of the image contains vertical syllabic characters for the artist above the red igloo seal of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative. The print is hand-numbered in pencil 4/50 at the lower center and bears the artist signature in pencil at the bottom right.
