Italian 19th Century Giltwood Wall Mirror - This rectangular wall mirror features a 19th-century Italian giltwood frame designed in an elaborate Baroque revival style. The frame is constructed from carved wood with a gilded finish, decorated throughout with scrolling foliate motifs, acanthus leaves, and floral blossoms. The top is surmounted by a prominent heraldic crest featuring a crown centered over two overlapping blank escutcheons, flanked by carved vines and berries. The rectangular mirror plate is set within a molded inner border. The reverse of the mirror is covered in aged brown paper with a wire hanging strand secured by screws. A handwritten pencil notation on the backing reads 408-. 39 inches (H) x 20.5 inches (W).
