Large Neoclassical Style Gilt Composition Wall Mirror - This large rectangular wall mirror features a gilded wood and composition frame. The frame is decorated with traditional classical motifs, including a repeating husk-and-bead pattern along the inner rim and a prominent leaf-and-dart molding on the main profile. The construction consists of a wooden frame with applied gesso or composition ornamentation finished in a gold gilt. The mirror plate is clear and retains its silvering. The reverse is fitted with a wire for horizontal wall mounting. 32 x 50 inches.
