Madeira * In black, LF MAD, on envelope dated from Funchal (20.02.50) to Bridge of Earne / England (08.03.50), transit in Southampton (07.03.50) with the English rate of 8 pence payable at destination, obliterated on the back with the stamp of the English packet agent in Madeira “MADEIRA / NO 5 / 1842” and on the front with the linear mark “SHIP LETTER”. Very well preserved.
