Envelope of the internal service used in the international service, registered from the Carnide Post Office (12.08.98) to Vienna / Austria (17.08.98), transit in Lisbon (12.08.98), with additional King Carlos I Mouchon stamps of 65 réis, blue-grey and 80 réis, lilac, both on slight dotted paper, perforation 11 ¾, MF134 and 143, totalling 170 réis, insufficient to pay the second rate of a letter to Austria (130 réis) weighing between 15 to 30g and the registration premium (50 réis), according with the table of rates published in D.G. No. 123 of 04.06.1898, in force from 01.07.98. Very fine and scarce. Cancelled with circular datestamp, type 1880, struck in black “CARNIDE”.
