In blue, LF LSB11 on a letter circulated from London (06.07.49) to Sines with transit through Lisbon (12.07.49), with English rate of 1s9d and Portuguese rate of 400 réis, handwritten in sepia, corresponding to; 350 réis, stamped in blue for the 4th rate of a letter sent by English packet boats weighing between 2 ½ and 3 oitavas, 30 réis handwritten for the territorial rate of a letter weighing up to 2 oitavas for the 3rd distance (from 20 to 30 leagues), once it was verified that the weight exceeded 2 oitavas, the territorial rate was increased by 20 réis, handwritten in sepia, corresponding to a letter with a weight between 2 and 4 oitavas for the same distance. Letter transported by the English steamship ”Pachá”, with two disinfection cuts.
