Loanda / Central Post Office - In black, LF LOA3A on envelope sent from Luanda to Lisbon (14.04.56) with rate of 40 réis, stamped in black, corresponding to a letter weighing up to 3 oitavas. Letters and all other items sent to the Kingdom and Adjacent Islands were subject to rate charges, but were marked with the rates established in the decree of 27 October 1852. Letter carried by the brig Andorinha do Tejo, which arrived in Lisbon on 14.04.56 after a 55-day voyage from Luanda.
