Angola * Maritime mail * Portuguese packet boat stamps. 1911 – D. Carlos I Mouchon, with ”REPUBLICA” overprint from the Mint. OM13, 20+20 réis, violet on cream card. Postal item posted in the mailbox on board the Malange steamship (03.11.11) to Vienna / Austria (12.12.11), on its downbound voyage, and delivered in Luanda, the first port of call, where it arrived on 04.11.11. From Luanda, it was sent in a sealed mailbag on 16.11.11 and delivered on the return journey from the southern ports on the same Malange steamship, passing through Lisbon, where it arrived on 08.12.11, bound for Vienna. Ship's stamp in violet ink: ”EMPREZA NACIONAL DE NAVEGAÇÃO / PAQUETE / MALANGE”. Very finr and scarce.
