Mozambique * 1945 – Rate paid. Portuguese Colonial Empire, issue for the colonies of Africa. 9ps violet postal stationery sent from Karachi/Pakistan (19.12.49) to Lourenço Marques (15.02.48), with additional 1p and 3p stamps, insufficient to pay the rate for a simple postcard to Mozambique, it was franked with 8c gold franc, equivalent to $80 with two $40 stamps, dark brown, MF POR4. Stamps without damage or repairs, in good colour. Very finr and scarce.
