Madeira * English mail in Madeira – In black, LF MAD on the cover of a letter sent from Madeira (June 16, 1949) to Le Havre (July 8, 1949) with transit through Plymouth (July 7, 1949) where the rectangular blue stamp “SHIP-LETTER / PLYMOUTH” was applied. English rate of 8p and French rate of 15 décimes, both handwritten in sepia. Letter well preserved, with the stamps well struck.
