Illustrated postcard circulated rate-free from Hazerley Camp / Winchester (October 22, 1917) to Lisbon (November 19, 1917), postmarked with the double oval stamp of the Portuguese military unit, embossed in black “CEP / CORPO DE ARTILHARIA PESADA / 2.º GRUPO”. Hazerley Camp, also known as the Heavy Artillery Corps (CAP) training camp, was a training site for the Heavy Artillery Corps during World War I, between May 1917 and January 1918.
