India * 1914/18 – World War I. German Prisoners of War in the Aguada Internment Camp. Cover sent from Aguada to Germany in the care of the Portuguese Prisoners of War Commission, censored with a white band and black inscriptions “PORTUGUESE INDIA / MILITARY POSTAL CENSORSHIP”, attached to the Cover with a rectangular stamp in violet “PORTUGUESE INDIA / CENSORED (7) / MILITARY CENSORSHIP” and postmarked with an oval stamp in violet “CENSOR / No. 81 / GOA – INDIA” and a linear stamp “PORTUGUESE COMMISSION OF PRISONERS OF WAR / PORTUGUESE RED CROSS / LISBON”. Letter sent by the German civilian prisoner named Ludwig Weber, engineer of the ship “Marienfelds”, later renamed “DIU”, which belonged to the company “Deutsche Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft “HANSA”.
