India * 1914/18 – World War I. German Prisoners of War in the Aguada Internment Camp. First sheet (Paid Reply) of a paid reply postal stationery, Ceres type, with a surcharge of 3 réis on 5 réis, stars II/II, OM37, distributed free of charge to prisoners, dated Aguada (02.09.18) to Bern / Switzerland to the attention of the Portuguese Prisoners of War Commission, censored and postmarked on the front with a rectangular stamp, stamped in violet “INDIA PORTUGUESA / CENSURADA ( ) / CENSURA MILITAR” and postmarked with an oval stamp in violet “CENSOR / N.º 81 / GOA – INDIA” and a linear stamp, stamped in red “COMMISSION PORTUGAISE DES PRISONNIERS DE GUERRE / CROIX-ROUGE PORTUGAISE / LISBONNE”. On the back, a green stamp reads: “CORREIO / DA / ÍNDIA / PORTUGUESA / ISENTO DE FRANQUIA” (Postal Service of India - Portuguese / Exempt from Franchise Fee).
