A stamped Cover, rate exempt from rate, circulated from Lourenço Marques (October 3, 1916) to Hamburg, transiting through South Africa where it was censored with a band from censor 99 and a circular blue stamp from censor 3. It was censored in Lourenço Marques and postmarked on the back with a rectangular black stamp “HEADQUARTERS / OCT 3, 1916 / 06384ª / LOURENÇO MARQUES” and on the front with a double red circle stamp “PASSED THROUGH CENSORSHIP / LOURENÇO / MARQUES”. Red exemption stamp “PROVINCE OF MOZAMBIQUE / HEADQUARTERS / INFORMATION DEPARTMENT”.
