To Inland Area Aircraft Depot, Henlow, 19 September 1925. As of November 1933 S/L H.J. Roach, AFC was leaving Engineer Air Staff duties at Headquarters, Coastal Area; posted to No.3 Flying Training School, Grantham, 14 December 1933, for Engineer duties. Left that position, April 1935. To School of Naval Cooperation, Lee-on-Solent, for flying duties (Squadron Leader), 1 May 1935. Promoted Wing Commander, 1 January 1936. Awarded CBE, 8 June 1944.
