Air Marshal Sir Robert Victor Goddard, KCB, CBE, DL (6 February 1897 - 21 January 1987) was a senior commander in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. William Ballantyne, 22 years old, belongs the distinction of being the first aerial stowaway to cross the Atlantic. Ballantyne was originally a member of the R-34's crew. Just before leaving East Fortune, Scotland, he was informed that there was no room for him because of the addition of other passengers. Good condition.
