WW2 Rare Battle of Britain pilot Ludwik Martel signed Polish Airforce RAF cover. 80th ann special signed cover JS(CC)56. Martel was born on 5 March 1919. He joined No 54 Squadron at Catterick in mid-September 1940 and moved to No 603 Squadron at Hornchurch on the 28th. He claimed a Bf 109 destroyed on 5 October. Martel was posted to No 317 Squadron at Acklington on 19 March 1941. Polish officer served as pilot with 603 Sqdn, RAF in GB, 1940 including Battle of Britain; served with 317 and 303 Sqdns, RAF in GB, 1941. Good condition.
