The House of Commons letter is dated 25 June 1970, just a week after that year's general election which saw the Conservatives returned to power. She thanks her correspondent’s, Mr and Mrs Wilmott (Finchley Constituency Party officials) for their help in the campaign and says, “we can look forward to five years of Conservative government.”  Some smudging to some of black ink writing but generally very good and a historically important early political letter from the UK's first ever female Prime Minister.
